Packet loss and route
mtr shows loss and latency per hop, so you see WHERE traffic is lost. TCP traceroute passes through ICMP filters. Requires a probe node.
PTR / reverse DNS
Missing or mismatched PTR is a leading cause of mail landing in spam, and almost nobody checks it. Verifies the full round trip.
Domain expiry
A forgotten renewal takes down site and mail overnight. Reads registry data over RDAP.
